Looking for a meaningful way to give thanks this Thanksgiving?
You're invited to our Thanksgiving Service Project to help pack and distribute Thanksgiving meals to families in need—a chance to give back while giving thanks. Together, we’ll combine the power of community, hope, and service to spread light and love throughout Central Florida.
Event Details:
When: Thanksgiving Morning | November 28, 2024 | 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Where: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
3001 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL, 32835
How You 'll Help:
As a volunteer, you’ll help assemble 4,000 hot Thanksgiving meals that will be distributed to local individuals and families who may otherwise go without. Here’s how you can make a difference:
Meal Assembly: Pack freshly cooked food items into convenient, "to-go" bento boxes for distribution.
Box Packing: Organize packed meals for efficient delivery to local charities.
Charity Partner Loading: Help load meals into vehicles for distribution to charity partners.
Clean-Up Crew: Join hands to leave the space as tidy as it was when we started.
A Unified Mission to Light Our Community
This service project is organized by Light Orlando, alongside The Salvation Army, Valencia College, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Orlando South Stake. Each organization has come together to share a simple but powerful belief: that as individuals, we can shine bright, but when we work TOGETHER we can shine a light so bright the WORLD can see it.
Come be part of something bigger this Thanksgiving morning! Together, we’ll make a difference in lives across Orlando. Sign up to volunteer and be part of this powerful morning of giving, hope, and unity. Limited spots are available, so join us and help Deliver Hope, Together this Thanksgiving!
